WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF ADOPT-A-SCHOOL?

Our Adopt-A-School Program is a partnership between local and international communities, businesses, organizations, and other entities dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our students.
The program focuses on finding meaningful ways for these communities to support our schools, ultimately benefiting our teachers, staff, and—most importantly—our students. Our partners play a crucial role in supporting students and staff in a variety of ways, including:

• Sponsoring field trips, projects, or contests
• Promoting academic or social programs
• Supporting after-school clubs, groups, and teams
• Mentoring or tutoring students individually or in small groups
• Recognizing students and staff for their achievements
• Fundraising for school supplies and other classroom needs

Why adopt a school:

Schools in low-income communities play a crucial role in the holistic development of children, especially those who are vulnerable due to economic challenges. These schools serve as safe havens where children not only receive an education but also benefit from essential support systems that may be lacking in their home environments.
Here are the keyways in which these educational centers support children:

1. Subsidized or Free Education: Many schools in low-income areas provide education at little to no cost, ensuring that financial constraints don't hinder a child's access to learning opportunities.
2. Safe Daycare and Supervision: For working parents who may not be able to afford private childcare, these schools offer safe, supervised environments where children can stay throughout the day, ensuring their well-being while their parents' work.

Adopters role
​Businesses or international schools that target one school or program participate by adopting an individual campus or initiative. Adoptions are tailored to suit each business and school, depending on the company’s resources and the school’s needs. Activities often include providing school supplies like uniforms, balls, shoes, mentoring, organizing science, math, or history fairs, and sponsoring field trips or after-school projects.
Adopters often provide the “educational extras” that a campus might need but cannot traditionally afford. From reading to students, tutoring those who need extra assistance, or running a field day, adults in these communities give their time and attention to the students on the campuses their businesses support.
