Ugali Youth, alongside key partners, proudly supports Maisha Girls Safe House (MGSH), a Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to rescuing and protecting young girls from sexual violence and abuse. MGSH provides comprehensive care and support, helping these girls rebuild their resilience and regain a sense of safety and dignity. Founded in 2014 as a community-based organization, MGSH expanded into an NGO in 2020, broadening its reach and deepening its impact.

​Ugali Youth’s work is critical in Nairobi, particularly in communities grappling with complex challenges such as prostitution, HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, substance abuse, and high crime rates. Through education and creative engagement, we empower young people and their families to break the cycle of poverty and create a brighter future.

Guided by the Ubuntu philosophy, we foster a spirit of interconnectedness, healing, and mutual support, emphasizing that every person’s success is tied to the well-being of the whole community. Our programs focus on increasing school attendance and improving graduation rates, providing young people with the tools to succeed. Through holistic support, we encourage creativity, confidence, and leadership in the next generation.

​Helping Girls Affected by Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse 

We understand the immense challenges that girls facing domestic violence and sexual abuse endure. We want them to know that they are not alone. Our program is here to offer compassionate, confidential support, and to help you find a safe path forward.
Our Support Services Include:

• Counseling and Emotional Support: Access to professional counselors who are trained in trauma and recovery, providing a safe space for you to talk and heal.
• Shelter and Safety: If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, we can help provide access to safe housing and protection.
• Legal Assistance: We offer guidance through the legal system, including support for filing protective orders and pursuing justice.
• Medical Care: We can connect you with health professionals for physical examinations, treatment, and ongoing care.
• Empowerment Programs: We offer workshops on building confidence, developing life skills, and finding ways to regain control over your future.

We believe in their inner strength and are committed to helping them regain a sense of safety, dignity, and hope. They
 matter. Their safety matters and all that is met with compassion, love and support.

Ugali is a 501 (c) (3) public charity, founded to fulfill the mandate of Matthew 25 “To care for the needy, to clothe the naked, to feed the hungry and welcome the strangers.” Our vision is to provide vital resources and assistance to the youth in Kenya, to help them see opportunity and realize dreams for a better tomorrow.

• Fundraising Campaigns/Hosting Dinners: By organizing storytelling-driven dinners and campaigns, you will help Ugali not only raise funds but also deepen connections with donors and build a community around Ugali Youth’s mission.
• Grant & Foundation Research/Writing: A structured approach to identifying potential grants and crafting compelling proposals will secure financial sustainability for Ugali programs.
• Film/Video Editing & Creation: Visual storytelling is powerful. Creating videos to showcase success stories, milestones, and our mission will inspire support.
• Digital Photocopying, Editing, Database Management: Streamlining these tasks will help keep our operations efficient, ensuring that our efforts are well-organized and tracked for future growth.
• Office Administration: Effective administrative systems and processes will help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, allowing the program to scale up as needed.
• Public Relations & Journalism: Building a PR strategy around Ugali’s work and amplifying it through media outlets will broaden our reach and attract more attention to our cause.
